Day 4: A Living Temple
Reading: 1 Peter 2:4-5, Ephesians 2:17-22

In 1 Peter, we are reminded that we are "living stones" being built into a spiritual house. This imagery emphasizes that the church is not just a physical building but a living, growing body of believers united in Christ. We each play a unique role in this spiritual structure, contributing to its strength, growth, and purpose. Just as each stone has its place, each believer has been gifted and called to contribute to the body of Christ.
In Ephesians 2:17-22, Paul reinforces this idea by describing how both Jews and Gentiles are brought together in Christ to form one unified body—a holy temple for the Lord. This unity transcends all human divisions, showing that Christ is our peace. All barriers are destroyed in Him, and we are being built together into a dwelling place for God. This temple, made up of believers, reflects God's presence on earth.
