The Bridge of Compassion and Humility
Compassion and humility are the bridge that connects us to one another and to God.

In Matthew 7:1-11, Jesus challenges us to examine the way we relate to one another and to God. This passage is often misinterpreted as a command against all forms of judgment, but its true message is far more profound. Jesus is not condemning discernment; rather, He is calling us to approach judgment with compassion and humility. These virtues, when combined, create a bridge that connects us to others and to God.
Jesus' teaching compels us to look beyond the surface of others' actions and see their struggles. This compassion moves us to respond with kindness rather than condemnation. On the other hand, humility reminds us of our own imperfections and our need for forgiveness, keeping us grounded and preventing a hypocritical attitude.
