Compassion in Action
Compassion and humility are the bridge that connects us to one another and to God.

Jesus' teaching in Matthew 7:1-11 not only addresses the way we judge others but also calls us to act with compassion. Compassion goes beyond merely feeling sympathy; it requires us to take action and respond with kindness and understanding, even when it is difficult.
Compassion compels us to see beyond the surface of a person’s actions, consider their struggles, and respond with kindness rather than condemnation. It is a call to actively engage with those around us, especially when we are tempted to judge or criticize.
In our daily interactions, we are often quick to judge based on appearances or actions without understanding the full context. But Jesus invites us to slow down, to consider what might be happening beneath the surface, and to respond with the same compassion that we would want to receive.
