Humility in Judgment
Compassion and humility are the bridge that connects us to one another and to God.

In a culture that often equates judgment with hatred, Jesus' teaching in Matthew 7:1-11 offers a different perspective. He does not forbid judgment but calls us to approach it with humility. Jesus is not telling us to refrain from evaluating others' behavior but to do so without a sense of superiority or condemnation.
Jesus says you must never treat people like that. There must be humility, there must be respect, and there must be a desire to maintain and strengthen the relationship, not to destroy it. This approach requires us to first acknowledge our own sins and shortcomings, allowing that knowledge to humble us before we address the faults of others.
When we judge others, we should never be motivated by self-righteousness. Instead, we should be motivated by love, seeking to help rather than to condemn. This requires us to see our own …
