Day 2 Devotional: From Strangers to Family
Reading: 1 Peter 2:9-10, Ephesians 2:19-22

Once, we were strangers to God and one another, but through Christ, we have been brought into His family. Peter’s words echo Paul’s message in Ephesians 2:17-22, reminding us of the radical transformation we undergo when we are united with Christ. We are no longer isolated individuals but members of God’s household, built on the foundation of Christ, the cornerstone.
Before our conversion, we were separated not only from God but also from each other. Our identity was tied to worldly divisions—race, status, and background. Yet, Christ broke down every dividing wall, including the intense divisions between Jews and Gentiles, making us one new humanity. In this unity, we find a family where peace is not simply the absence of conflict but the comprehensive restoration of relationships, bound together in love and purpose.
