Peter was not having a great day. He had spent the entire night fishing and caught nothing. He wasn’t seeking a spiritual moment; he was just cleaning his nets. And that’s when Jesus showed up.
We often think leadership begins with vision retreats, platform moments, or divine downloads. But sometimes it begins with fatigue, frustration, and fishless nets. Jesus steps into Peter’s boat, not after a spiritual high but in the middle of disappointment. The same is true for us.
Your leadership calling may not begin with clarity. It may start with simply letting Jesus into your routine: your boat, your inbox, your Monday morning. The miracle doesn’t start with the fish. It starts with availability.
