Devotional:

Christ is the cornerstone upon which our faith is built, and this truth is central to understanding our spiritual growth and our place within the community of believers. In today’s reading, Paul uses the metaphor of a building to describe how our lives in Christ are constructed on the sure foundation of His teachings. Just as the cornerstone was the critical element that held ancient buildings together, Christ holds together the spiritual structure of our lives and our collective identity as the church.

Reflect on the foundation of your faith. Is Christ truly at the center? Are there areas in your life where you might be building on less stable ground, such as worldly ambitions, pride, or fear? Just as builders carefully choose their materials, we must ensure that our spiritual lives are founded on Christ’s teachings and not on fleeting, unstable things.
