Introduction

Our faith can cause some internal struggles. Where does normal participation in society require sacrifices or compromises we shouldn’t make? Where are there economic incentives for us to disregard God's Word to maintain our comfort? Our culture is both overt and covert about trying to have everyone accept, approve, and even endorse what the Bible calls sin. You can hear it in the common phrases we use:   

The end justifies the means.

Everyone else is doing it.

It's not as bad as [something else].

I deserve this.

Love is love.
