In John 13, Jesus offers His disciples a glimpse into the profound mystery of God’s glory. As He prepares for His crucifixion, He speaks of glorification—not through power, status, or victory, but through sacrifice and love. The cross, which was a symbol of shame and suffering, becomes the ultimate display of God’s glory. This message seems counterintuitive to human understanding, where we often associate glory with triumph, strength, and honor. Yet, here is Jesus, proclaiming that God is glorified in His willingness to suffer, die, and give everything for those He loves.
