Devotional Thought:
God’s promise to Abram wasn’t small. It was outrageous. A childless man in his seventies would become a great nation. His name would be honored long after his lifetime. And through him, the world would be blessed. Yet none of this looked possible from where Abram stood. That’s the beauty of brave faith: it doesn’t deny reality, it trusts a greater one.
When leaders hear God’s call, they often see risk, sacrifice, and uncertainty. God sees legacy, blessing, and eternal impact. The problem is that we tend to measure success by sight, while God measures it by obedience. Abram’s faith shows that the promise is always greater than the risk. God’s vision for your life will stretch you beyond comfort, but His reward will outlast you.
